Last week Year 6 went on their residential visit to PGL! Our children and staff were amazing; just read the letter below. I am so proud of them all.
Dear Mrs Jay,
I thought it would be amiss of me for not writing to you to pass on my regards to all your children who went to PGL. We had the privilege of sharing our living area with your school and your staff throughout our stay at Windmill Hill. Your teachers were first class. Mr Hunt, Mrs O and Ms G were a credit to St Michael, I was most impressed with their layed back yet firm stance on the children who knew exactly where they stood.
Most importantly though, all the children from your school were fantastic, they gelled with children from Temple Grove Academy and built a rapport with one another over the weekend. Your children were an example to your school and I loved the way they integrated with ours. I was proud of my own children and I was extremely glad that my school –TGA – got to spend time together with yours.
As I conclude, could I just mention your young man, Ya’seen. What a delight he was to talk to!
I wish your children all the very best for the future and I hope our paths cross again at PGL.
It has been a pleasure working with Mrs Lennon and the staff and pupils at St Michael at Bowes. There is always a very positive atmosphere and you have been great partners for THF! (Gareth Dace)
What a beautiful school, It made my heart sing to work with your students. Few schools realise the need to create a joyful, creative environment for learning. You do. Thank you for inviting me. (Sita Brahmachari)
Thank you for a wonderful welcome into your school. (Dazu)
What fantastic children you have: My volunteers and I loved delivering our ‘Speak Out Stay Safe’ assemblies this morning. The children were engaged, mature and brilliant! (Caroline Roughly NSPCC School Service Area Co-ordinator)
Great learning environment! I had an excellent experience with two pupils in 4H and their teacher. It was an excellent experience in 6B, with maths investigation in the morning; showing mastery in the curriculum. The intervention session with Mrs Rahman, was great with the students of year 5. Thank you, for giving me the opportunity to experience your school as a PGCE training secondary maths teacher. (Gabriel Adegbile NQT Maths Heartlands High School)
